CNM has scheduled voting registration tables, people to walk around Main Campus with iPads, and registration sites at the admissions offices of all campuses to help people register to vote as quickly and simply as possible by the deadline of Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Registration tables also were to be set up in Smith Brasher Hall on Monday, Oct. 8 and Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to help answer questions and get people registered either online or through the one-page form, said the event manager of CNM, Nicole Romero.
The tables will be hosted by representatives from the New Mexico Asian Family Center, she said.
Also, on the Monday and Tuesday, CNM has planned for employees and work-study students to walk around Main Campus with iPads to help people register, she said.
“Online registration takes on average less than 2 minutes,” said Romero. She noted that anyone can register online here if they have a New Mexico driver’s license.
In addition to registering at any campus admissions office, people may visit the Student Activities and Student Services offices on Main Campus through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
CNM is going beyond the CNM community and “will register anyone who meets the criteria listed on the Bernalillo County Clerk website,” Romero said.
Anyone who would like to help register voters on campus may contact Romero at (505) 224-4000 ext. 51755.
